North Texas Giving Day is Thur Sep 20, 2018

An Important Date to Remember

An important date is coming up this month for Texas CARES and other charities like us. North Texas Giving Day occurs on Thursday, September 20, 2108. It is an 18-hour giving extravaganza to benefit local nonprofits and make a difference here at home. In ten years, this online event has transformed from an idea to help raise awareness of nonprofits, to a movement that has ignited a broad culture of community-wide giving. During North Texas Giving Day, everyone can be a philanthropist to help build a stronger and more vibrant community.

Plano was recently ranked as the 15th most cat-friendly city in the United States. You can see the rankings here – https://wallethub.com/edu/most-pet-friendly-cities/5562/. And one of our adoption centers is in Plano, with another in nearby Prosper. The surge of our kitty adoptions over the past months, along with a larger than usual number of visitors to our adoption centers, shows that Plano cares about kitties. This is a good example of why Plano deserves the ranking.

Any donation that you make to Texas CARES on North Texas Giving Day or at any time is very important. Donations help us continue to meet our goals and may enable us to expand the number of adoption centers.

And, most importantly to continue finding forever homes for our kitties.
